Crescendo Fund
In 2006, the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus took a big step to ensure its future by establishing an endowment fund through the Columbus Foundation. This trust, known as the Crescendo Fund, was designed to secure the longevity of the Chorus by placing moneys aside for major capital expenditures and special needs. The Crescendo Fund is truly an investment in the future of the Chorus. The fund has not been designed to finance the day-to-day expenses of the organization. Instead, it is used to cover major purchases, such as new risers or a new portable keyboard, and other special needs as they arise.
Donations go to our general fund to support our mission. Please make a note on your donation if you would like your donation to go to any of the funds below.

Illuminati Fund
Referring to a Latin expression meaning “the enlightened,” Illuminati was created to respond to the community’s expressed desire for musical performances of a sacred or spiritual nature. Its mission is to extend our outreach, particularly to religious organizations, while respecting our members’ individual spiritual beliefs. Illuminati performs monthly at various religious institutions and events throughout central Ohio, and sometimes beyond, and is proud to be a bridge between the LGBTQIA+ and religious communities. Illuminati works to demonstrate that we all have a place in sacred spaces, and are whole, holy, and loved. Illuminati’s mission is to demonstrate, through song, that ALL people have a place in the religious community.
Membership Fund
CGMC prides itself on removing as many barriers to membership as possible. CGMC charges no dues to its members, and works to keep costs of membership as low as possible. However, some costs do come up for members, including performance attire, travel to and from rehearsal and performances, and costs to attend festivals. The membership fund is maintained by CGMC, but is directed by its membership. It is designed to offset indirect costs of membership for those who could benefit from such assistance.
