Youth Performing Ensemble
Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) is very proud to announce our first-ever Youth Performing Ensemble. The inaugural youth members will play a role in naming the ensemble, and in its programming as well.
CGMC welcomes youth between the ages of 13 and 17, who have all levels of musical experience, and we are currently accepting applications for our inaugural season beginning January 2025!

Meet our Assistant Artistic Director
Gabriel Gonzalez

Youth Performing Ensemble / Assistant Artistic Director
Gabriel Gonzales serves as the Assistant Artistic Director for CGMC’s new Youth Ensemble. Gabriel was born and raised in Xenia, Ohio. He moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University, where he pursued a degree in music education with a focus in voice. Additionally, he serves as an elementary school teacher in Hilliard Schools. His CGMC journey began as our Choral Intern in January 2021, where he also became a singing member, and this season also joined our auditioned ensemble, Vox.
