The American Songbook – Vox in Association with BalletMet
Celebrating the songs that keep America whistling, tapping, clapping and yes, dancing! A fun-filled program of exuberant works performed to the songs you love. Featured are Amy Seiwert’s Dear Miss Cline, a spirited dance set to some of the best-known songs of country singer Patsy Cline; a reprise of Darrell Grand Moultrie’s Simply Sammy, a tribute to the legendary Sammy Davis, Jr.; and an original work performed in collaboration with the Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus Vox ensemble. Enjoy them all in the intimate setting of BalletMet’s jewel box 225-seat Performance Space. Tickets are $35

Our 23rd season begins with the 13th Joy!, a CGMC Holiday Tradition. The Holidays are a global celebration. Join us for this annual holiday tradition and enjoy songs from around the world that bring joy and happiness to so many during this time of hope and love. Until There’s A Cure
The fight is not over. Join CGMC as we remember the effects of HIV/AIDS on our community while renewing our hope for a cure of this non-discriminatory disease. Songs featured will be both inspired by, and insightful of, the history, losses, and turning points of this pandemic. CGMC will raise their voices to focus hearts and minds on a future free of HIV/AIDS! Tickets are $30.

Join CGMC as we perform great songs that are eternal in the minds of people no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, orientation, or faith. CGMC will also explore the impact the music of Motown has had in shaping the Lincoln Theatre, King-Lincoln district and the many communities and individuals in Central Ohio with our first panel discussion following our Sunday Matinee.
